The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) received of the Order of Excellence award in the Excellence, Innovation, and Wellness Standard from Excellence Canada – the highest honour in its category.  

This national award recognizes organizations that consistently sustain a high level of performance, employee and customer engagement, and innovative and strategic thought. 

“This honour is the culmination of decades of hard work to create processes, standards, and systems to better serve our members and the public,” said Jeff King, REBGV CEO. “Our commitment to innovation and excellence is engrained in our culture, which allows us to apply these principles in everything we do.”

Excellence Canada’s programs form the backbone of REBGV's excellence program. It’s a continuous strategic approach to, and application of, leading business principles and practices in the areas of:

The program is designed to ensure that REBGV delivers innovative products and services to its more than 15,000 members, while providing world-class customer service and prioritizing strategic planning for the future.

REBGV has been on an excellence journey since 1996. That’s when we began our relationship with Excellence Canada (formerly the National Quality Institute). We first qualified for the Canada Awards for Excellence (CAE) silver trophy and won the gold trophy three years later.  

REBGV then achieved the Canada Order of Excellence (Quality) in 2010, and again in 2013. In 2016, we achieved the Gold Level of the Order of Excellence under the EIW Standard, and in 2019 achieved the Platinum level. 

Founded in 1992 by Industry Canada, Excellence Canada is an independent, not-for-profit corporation dedicated to advancing organizational performance across Canada. They developed and maintain the EIW Standard for organizational performance, based upon the most effective practices and proven management strategies from around the world.
