President: Phil Moore

A former Vancouver police officer, Phil Moore has been a REALTOR® and member of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) since 1989. He works with the Burnaby-based RE/MAX Central.

Phil served as a director for the Burnaby/New Westminster/Tri-Cities Area in 2009-2010, and was elected to the Board of Directors from 2011-2015. In 2016, he was elected to the position of Vice-President. Phil has served on the Audit, Governance, Human Relations, and Pension Plan committees as well as the Professional Conduct Task Force.

Phil is active in the community and is involved with many charities, including BC Camp Choice.

     

 

President-Elect: Ashley Smith

Ashley Smith became a Realtor in 2009, and three years later, became the youngest person elected to the Board of Directors. Prior to becoming President-Elect, Ashley was a Westside Area director, and sat on the Government Relations committee and the Governance committee. 

Ashley is licensed with Oakwyn Realty Downtown.

A dedicated supporter of children's causes, Ashley sits on the board of KidzFirst Canada and is a committee member at the VGH + UBC Hospital Foundation.

     

 

Vice-President: Colette Gerber

Colette Gerber has been a Realtor since 2008.

She has volunteered her time and energy as chair of the Westside Area, and as a member of the Board of Directors since 2011. Colette has been a member of the Governance committee. 

Before joining the real estate profession, she had a lengthy business career in management, finance, and luxury residential development.

Colette has volunteered with other charitable and community organisations throughout her career, including the Heart and Stroke Foundation, City of Vancouver, and the Dunbar Vision Iimplementation Committee.

     

 

CEO: Brad Scott

Brad Scott has been with the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) since 1978 and has served as its CEO since 2013.

Prior to his appointment as CEO, he had served as REBGV's Chief Operating Officer beginning in 1991. Brad first became a member of the management team in 1985 and has held a number of other positions with REBGV. Since 1996, he has played a central role in helping  REBGV achieve numerous quality management awards including Excellence Canada’s Canada Order of Excellence (Quality).

He is a member of the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia and holds both the R.I. (B.C.) and Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.d) designations. 

Brad has been around the organized real estate block several times serving on numerous directorates, task forces and committees in both Canada and the U.S.  His strongest focus is to ensure REBGV continuously improves everything it does and builds on the tremendous legacy previous REBGV leaders built.

Taylor Biggar

Jill Oudil has been a Realtor since 1992. She became a director in 2012 while serving as chair of REBGV's Burnaby/New West/Tri-Cities Area, a title she held until 2014.

Jill served on numerous committees. She was chair of the Governance and HR committees, and served on its Professional Standards Task Force. She’s an advocate for professionalism in real estate, and organized a series of fundraisers to support wildfire victims in BC.  

 

Taylor Biggar became a Realtor in 2003. Since then, he has been active as a REBGV Richmond/South Delta/Gulf Islands Area director, and as its chair and vice-chair. 

In 2015, Taylor joined the Board of Directors, and has been involved with the Governance Committee and task forces.  

A native of Steveston, Taylor volunteers with several local community organisations.


Catherine Boivie

Barb Burrows

Dr. Boivie is an executive with more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles at Vancity, Pacific Blue Cross, and BCAA. She’s currently the Executive in Residence at the Beedie School of Business and director/chair on the boards of the Commissioner for Complaints for Telecom-television Services, the Arts Club Theatre, and MedicAlert Canada. 

As a director on the Vancouver Women in Technology board, Catherine’s a strong advocate for encouraging women to enter, stay, and thrive in the technology field.

 

Barb Burrows became a Commercial Realtor in 2002, specializing in investment sales and leasing of retail properties throughout the Lower Mainland.  She has served on the Board of Directors since 2015.  She was also on the Governance Committee, the BC Commercial Council, and, for the past three years, Chair of REBGV Commercial. 

Barb has volunteered with The United Way, Gran Fondo and The Ride to Conquer Cancer.  She supports the Vancouver Humane Society and advocates for animal welfare. 


Doug Dang

Doug Dang has been with AMEX since becoming a Realtor in 2006.  He’s serving his third term on the  Board of Directors.  

Doug has served on the Audit Committee and on the Governance Committee. He also currently serves as a director with the Chinese Real Estate Professional Association.  

Outside of real estate, Doug volunteers for his church and benevolent association.

 

Lynn Dequanne has been a Realtor since 1993. She has served on the Board of Directors since 2015. 

As chair of REBGV's Burnaby|New Westminster|Tri-Cities Area, Lynn spearheaded efforts to organize fundraising efforts for Aunt Leah’s Place on a yearly basis. Aunt Leah’s Place is a community organization dedicated to preventing teens transitioning out of foster care from becoming homeless.

Logan Eskesen has been a Realtor since 2010 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2016. Previously, he was vice-chair and chair for REBGV's Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Area.

Logan volunteers with many charities, including Keller Williams’ charitable arm, KW Cares, Variety Children's Charity, Canadian Cancer Foundation, and Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation.

 

Brian Friedrich, LL.M, MEd, C.Dir, FCPA, FCGA, is a principal of Friedrich & Friedrich Corp, a professional research, standards, and education consultancy firm - a role that has shaped his work experience for over 20 years.

The firm’s clients include the World Bank, global accounting bodies, post-secondary institutions, and government agencies. This position has allowed Brian to gain considerable Canadian and international experience in several areas, including developing strategic, policy, program, governance, and ethics guidance for numerous established and emerging professional and regulatory organisations.

Brian serves on the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants and the CPA Canada Public Trust Committee.


Bob Ingratta

Daniel John

Bob Ingratta was appointed to REBGV's Board of Directors in 2018. 

He's a seasoned executive with experience as a chief executive officer and director. He specializes in capitalizing on change, strategic planning, risk management, and sound governance. 

A skilled negotiator and relationship builder, Bob’s been involved with other boards. He’s past president of an international regulatory organisation, and was chair of the board of a federal government human resourses council.

Bob lives in Vancouver and supports the BC Children’s Hospital, St. Paul’s Foundation, and other charities.

 

Daniel John has been a Realtor since 2005, and this is his first year on the Board of Directors. He also teaches real estate courses at Langara College.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a diploma in Technology in Marketing Management – Commercial Real Estate. Daniel holds his professional R.I. designation and serves as President-Elect of the Board of Governors at the Real Estate Institute of BC.

Daniel has volunteered with organizations such as the Richmond School District, Steveston Community Centre, and the REBGV Blanket Drive.

Michael Mitsiadis

Leslie McDonnell has been a Realtor since 2012. She holds a Bachelors degree in International Relations and a Masters in Business Administration, specialising in marketing.

Leslie was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2017. Previously, she sat on REBGV's Westside Area.

She's very interested in contributing to the betterment of the real estate profession.

 

Michael Mitsiadis became a Realtor in 1991. During this time, he’s accumulated extensive real estate knowledge. He first served on the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver’s Board of Directors between 2013 and 2015. He’s also volunteered on the association’s Board Development Committee and Area Task Force.   

Before becoming a Realtor, Michael was vice-president of a venture capital firm responsible for managing public and private companies. 

An advocate for continued education to raise skills, ethics, and professionalism within the real estate profession, Michael has studied general business at Langara College and has completed several Institute of Corporate Directors courses as well as the Canadian Real Estate Association’s leadership course series.

Outside of real estate, he’s volunteered and served on several community boards and organizations over the years.


Jennifer Quart

Deborah Spicer

Jennifer Quart became a Realtor in 2010 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2017.

Through her work with REBGV's Richmond/South Delta/Gulf Islands Area, Jennifer realized the importance of giving back to her profession.

She has been involved with various RE/MAX fundraising initiatives and community organisations such as the Richmond Field Hockey Club.

 

Now an associate broker, Deborah Spicer became a Realtor in 1989 and has served as a director since 2003. During this time, she has served on the Governance Committee and the Audit Committee. Deborah was REBGV's North Shore Area chair and director for nine years.

Aside from specialising in residential real estate, Deborah has taught the Applied Practice Course to new real estate licensees for the BC Real Estate Association since 2010.

Prior to entering real estate, Deborah earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) that lead to an award-winning career in news reporting.
