The REBGV's Board of Directors oversees management, considers and approves on a continuous basis strategic alternatives and plans, and approves all major strategy and policy recommendations. In performing its functions, the Board of Directors has the responsibility and the mandate to make decisions in the interests of the REBGV.
A former Vancouver police officer, Phil Moore has been a REALTOR® and member of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) since 1989. He works with the Burnaby-based RE/MAX Central.
Phil served as a director for the Burnaby/New Westminster/Tri-Cities Area in 2009-2010, and was elected to the Board of Directors from 2011-2015. In 2016, he was elected to the position of Vice-President. Phil has served on the Audit, Governance, Human Resources, and Pension Plan committees as well as the Professional Conduct Task Force.
Phil is active in the community and is involved with many charities, including BC Camp Choice.
Ashley Smith became a REALTOR® in 2009, and three years later, became the youngest person elected to the Board of Directors. Prior to becoming President-Elect, Ashley was a Westside Area director, and sat on the Government Relations committee and the Governance committee.
Ashley is licensed with Oakwyn Realty Downtown.
A dedicated supporter of children's causes, Ashley sits on the board of KidzFirst Canada and is a committee member at the VGH + UBC Hospital Foundation.
She has volunteered her time and energy as chair of the Westside Area, and as a member of the Board of Directors since 2011. Colette has been a member of the Governance committee.
Before joining the real estate profession, she had a lengthy business career in management, finance, and luxury residential development.
Colette has volunteered with other charitable and community organisations throughout her career, including the Heart and Stroke Foundation, City of Vancouver, and the Dunbar Vision Implementation Committee.
Brad Scott has been with the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) since 1978 and has served as its CEO since 2013.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, he had served as REBGV's Chief Operating Officer beginning in 1991. Brad first became a member of the management team in 1985 and has held a number of other positions with REBGV. Since 1996, he has played a central role in helping REBGV achieve numerous quality management awards including Excellence Canada’s Canada Order of Excellence (Quality).
He is a member of the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia and holds both the R.I. (B.C.) and Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.d) designations.
Brad has been around the organized real estate block several times serving on numerous directorates, task forces and committees in both Canada and the U.S. His strongest focus is to ensure REBGV continuously improves everything it does and builds on the tremendous legacy previous REBGV leaders built.
