REALTORS® in the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver’s (REBGV) six geographical divisions raised tens of thousands of dollars to support local charities and charitable initiatives in their communities.

Collectively, the respective divisions raised $46,569.46 in monetary donations in 2010 and prepared and served more than
500 Thanksgiving meals to the most disadvantaged.

“REALTORS® are constantly working to advance our REALTORS Care® initiatives and give back to the communities where they live and work,” Jake Moldowan, REBGV president said.

Donations by area in 2010

Burnaby/New Westminster/Tri Cities
Raised $10,002.16 at their Fall Classic golf tournament, and another $3,258.56 at their Christmas Party for Tri-City Transitions (formerly Tri-City Women's Resource Society).

Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows
Raised $2,483.39 at their Tunnel Classic golf tournament, $434.50 at their Christmas party and another $173 at a municipal event for the Friends in Need Food Bank and the Salvation Army. The division also prepared and served approximately 525 turkey dinners with all the trimmings for those in need at their annual Thanksgiving dinner.

Richmond/South Delta/ Gulf Islands
Richmond REALTORS® raised $8,049.51 at their Christmas party for the Richmond Hospital Foundation. They also raised $4,260.09 at their annual golf tournament for the Richmond Hospital Foundation and Deltassist.

South Delta REALTORS® raised $6,175.54 at their Christmas party for Deltassist and the Delta Youth Support Line.

Vancouver Westside 
The annual Christmas Party yielded $125 in donations and 6 boxes of food items for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.

North Shore/Sunshine Coast/Sea-to-Sky
Raised $6,756.68 at their Christmas party to support the Lookout Emergency Aid Society's North Shore Shelter.

Vancouver East
Raised $1,345.68 at their Christmas party for Admiral Seymour Elementary School. 

Board-wide
• Sales from Teldon Calendars raised $4,331.20 for the REALTORS Care® Shelter Drive charities.
• The 16th Annual REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive gathered 5,186 bags of blankets, sleeping bags and clothing for at least 20,000 homeless and working poor in the Lower Mainland.

Over the past three years, Greater Vancouver REALTORS® have donated and fund raised more than $6.1 million for local charity.
