The winter Olympics have reached our backyard and scores of REALTORS® are set to put their overflowing community pride on display and participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

In learning about the various activities and opportunities that people in the real estate community are up to during the Games, we quickly discovered that being an Olympic volunteer often involves more than merely showing up.

Margaret Wheeler, Westwynd Realty, and Jennifer Champagne, Century 21 Eco-Vista Realty, are participating in the Games, not once but twice. 

They will be singing with 48 other members of the Lions Gate Chorus at the Olympic Torch ceremonies in North Vancouver on February 12, and again with a smaller group of the Chorus for the Cultural Olympiad at Robson Square on Thursday, February 18.

It has taken Margaret and Jennifer countless years of practice and international competitions, their latest win was a silver medal at the 2007 Sweet Adelines International competition, to reach the Olympics.
